Chris Hemsworth may be known for his role as the muscular superhero Thor, but the Avengers star had to slim down dramatically for his upcoming role in Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea. The actor showed off the gaunt, ship-wrecked look he sports for part of the film on Instagram on Sunday, joking in the caption, “Just tried a new diet/training program called Lost At Sea. Wouldn’t recommend it.” In the photo, Hemsworth sports a full, ragged beard and cuts on his chest and face, which also has a reddish tint. His ribs are also visible on his frail physique.
